Reimaging the Ancient World

This project reimagines existing photographs in response to growing global conflict and hostilities, drawing from archival photographic practices. By repurposing analogue images through digital processes, it explores the impact of AI on image-making and questions contemporary systems of power. The work reflects on cultural implications of violence, fortification, and the enduring role of land and location in shaping societies. Ancient Middle Eastern sites from a personal archive are reimagined using computational photography and AI, challenging how ancient structures continue to inform modern relationships. The project suggests that despite over 2000 years of history, human behavior remains deeply connected to the past.
